Delete your account and data

Signed-in account: delete it in the app
If you signed in to geoking with Apple or Google, you delete your account yourself in the app:
- Open geoking and tap the gear icon (Settings) on the home screen.
- At the top, tap your Account (the row with your name), then tap Delete account.
- Confirm with Delete permanently.
This deletes your account with email address and name, your player name, your game results and daily puzzles, your friendships and challenges, the identifier for notifications and the reports you sent with Report a bug. Your leaderboard entry disappears with it.
Account without sign-in: by email
If you play without signing in, the app creates an anonymous account on first launch and stores your player name, your game results and your reports from Report a bug under it. If you sign in later, they move to your account. The app has no delete button for this account. To have it deleted, send us an email with your player name:
The same route applies if you have a signed-in account and can no longer get into the app.
What remains after deletion
- Apple and Google keep your purchase records as the sellers of geoking Pro, and our purchase service provider keeps your purchase history. Deleting your account does not reach either, nor purchase events from before you signed in.
- We keep usage statistics and error reports for as long as we need them for the purposes named in the app's privacy policy. They are tied to a random device identifier of the app.
- The progress stored on your device stays. After deletion the app creates a new anonymous account, and the next time you open the app it stores the game results from your device under it with us again. To keep that from happening, remove the app from your device before you open it again. On Android, a Google backup of the device can bring the progress back when you reinstall the app.
Subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. You cancel a running geoking Pro subscription in the App Store or on Google Play.
More
